On 31 Jul: Ismael Hanniah was killed in a targeted killing in Tehran, where he was attending the inauguration of the new Iranian president, a place he never in his dreams would have thought he was under threat. Israel carried out another strike to take out Faud Shukr, one of the top leaders of Hezbollah, mastermind of the rocket attack on school children in Golan Heights on his hideout in highly built-up area of Beirut. Don’t forget the strike by Houtis and the retaliatory Israeli strike on Hodeidah port, over 2300 kms away. These showed not only Israel’s reach but also resolve to do what it must for its security. But, will these trigger a biggest conflict? Escalate the already dangerous situation and become a precussor for WW3?
